The Air Force manages storage tank and air emission sources in a shared database to ensure data is efficiently managed in a single place with shared data between the two compliance groups. This presents a unique challenge, as the storage tank management requires all tanks above 55 gallons to be tracked in the database, however air emission calculations only work for tanks above 270 gallons. Thus, an analysis of diminishing returns on which tanks should be included in air emissions inventories is being examined to provide new common-sense guidelines for Air Quality Managers. This analysis will look at different climate zones, tank sizes, tank throughput and fuel.
