Environmental Engineer Air Force Life Cycle Management, OH
Abstract Description: The Air Force was using the Environmental Compliance Assessment and Management Program (ECAMP) since 1984 for auditing and inspection process, this program is ended in 2016. The Air Force Life Cycle management AFLCMC-EZVC starts Transitioning from the old auditing system to the Environmental Inspection Process (EIP) in 2025. The new auditing system will help saving cost and focusing in high risk areas. The EIP process occur every 30-36 months and will focus on high-risk areas or protocols. Environmental Management Systems (EMS) is the main protocol, plus two other protocols based on the risk assessment. The risk assessment will take into consideration the previous Notice of violations (NOV) received by plant. In addition to the NOV, another major environmental areas will be assessed. In this discussion a full comparison between the EIP and ECAMP will discussed. The benefits from the EIP will be hilghted in this work. Balances environmental responsibility with weapon system manufacturing. Proactive risk management, targets high risk areas Cost savings through efficient resource management beside a huge cost saving to the AF. The team will consist of maximum 2 government members plus 3 contractor to complete the full assessment. The findings in the major environmental areas will be briefed to the Amjor commanders
