Stefanie Silsby is an Assistant Professor in the Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences Division at the Uniformed Services University (USU) in Bethesda, Maryland. She earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University. Her doctoral research focused on the behavior of PFAS during the thermal reactivation of spent granular activated carbon (GAC). Stefanie is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 15 years of experience in environmental engineering, science, and policy, primarily within state and federal government agencies.
