Andrea Ferro is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. She previously worked in industry (General Electric) and consulting (CDM Smith) and is a registered professional engineer. Dr. Ferro’s technical expertise is focused on indoor air quality and human exposure to aerosols using direct measurement as well as mechanistic and stochastic models. She has conducted multiple air quality studies with community partners over the past 25 years, including studies for asthma intervention, wood burning appliance exposure, and vehicle-related PM exposure associated with a major international bridge crossing. Dr. Ferro is an elected fellow of the International Society of Indoor Air and Climate (ISIAQ) and the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR).
