Thomas (Tom) Dunder, Ph.D. is Technical Director at TRC and has degrees in Chemistry from Columbia University (AB), Rutgers University (MS), and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (PhD, Physical Chemistry). He is recognized as a national expert in extractive FTIR measurement technology for air emissions measurements and has been conducting testing of air emissions from stationary sources for 33 years, previously working for GE and Entropy. Through his career he has been involved in the research, development and application of FTIR and other advanced measurement technologies for stack emissions testing, process monitoring and improvement, and nuclear waste characterization. In recent eyars he has been conducting research with the EPA on measuring PFAS and PFAS breakdown products in incineration processes. He has over 45 years experience in scientific research with numerous patents, publications and conference presentations.
