Norm Ruttan, B. Sc. Ecology, President iWastenot Systems
Norm Ruttan is President of iWastenot Systems which helps people in communities and organizations circulate surplus & potentially waste materials back into supply chains.
Graduating as a Zoologist from the University of Western Ontario in 1967, he worked as a High School Science Teacher for 7 years, then returned to University for a 2nd degree in Ecology. After graduation he joined Parks Canada working first as a park naturalist, then middle manager, and finally National Park Superintendent.
After retirement in 2003 Norm founded iWastenot Systems after retirement. The focus changed from protecting nature from humans to working with humans to put less pressure on nature.
Norm and his wife Joanne have 5 children, all of whom work part-time or full-time with iWastenot Systems.
