Kim Alfonsi, CHMM is a Senior Environmental Consultant and Vice President working at Barr Engineering Co.’s Ann Arbor, Michigan office for 15 years. She has more than 30 years of experience as an environmental professional, serving as a senior technical resource on air permitting and compliance projects with particular expertise in the chemical manufacturing industry. She provides strategic direction dealing with regulatory compliance and emissions control; implementing environmental programs for air and water; developing air permit applications; and negotiating with regulatory agencies. Her recent experience includes air permitting support for proposed lithium ion battery recycling operations. Before joining Barr, Kim worked in industry in the pharmaceutical and printing ink manufacturing sectors. She received her M.S. in Environmental Health from the University of Michigan and B.S. in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University.
