UHP Scientific Lead & Technical Program Manager
Process Insights, PA
Dr. James N. Hodges is the UHP Scientific Lead and Technical Program Manager at Process Insights – Tiger Optics. He has been with Process Insights for 6.5 years designing and developing cavity ring-down analyzers for trace gas analysis. These analyzers serve a variety of industrial and high purity markets, including but not limited to semiconductor, and ambient air monitoring. James is passionate about rapidly developing instruments, which serve the user’s application and require zero specialized operator training. In 2016, he obtained his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of Illinois studying cavity enhanced, infrared molecular spectroscopy supporting astrochemical observations of molecular ions in the interstellar medium. After, he held a post-doctoral appointment at Old Dominion University doing FT-IR spectroscopy of molecules of exoplanetary interest. James is appreciative of the opportunity to contribute a platform presentation to AWMA's 118th Annual Conference & Exhibition.
