Mr. Michael Hammer, CCM, serves as Senior Meteorologist for Lakes Environmental Software’s global operations and is currently based out of the Dallas, Texas office. He has over two decades of experience in the field of air quality modeling and manages all aspects of commercial software technical support for Lakes Software's wide range of commercial air quality modeling software products. In addition to his technical support responsibilities, he plays a key role in advancing commercial software products and meteorological data solutions through the use of automation and design of cutting edge functionality. He is a senior instructor for advanced modeling theory and hands-on training courses offered around the world on the fundamentals of air dispersion modeling and the use of air dispersion modeling software.
Certified by the American Meteorological Society as a Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM), Mr. Hammer provides consulting expertise on many meteorological topics including data validation, review of modeling studies, and meteorological data processing using advanced models such as WRF. He also serves as Chair-Elect of the AMS Board of Certified Consulting Meteorologists. He is experienced in preparing meteorological and geophysical data for use with numerous air quality modeling systems including AERMOD, CALPUFF, SCIPUFF, and others. Mr. Hammer also serves as the current Chair of the Board of Certified Consulting Meteorologists with AMS.
