Taylor Hartsfield, EIT, CPM, is currently serving as the Deputy Director for North Carolina’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) in the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). She has been with DAQ since January 2013 and previously worked in the Raleigh and Winston-Salem Regional Offices in the roles of Regional Supervisor, Compliance Supervisor, and Environmental Engineer. She has previous experience with writing permits, investigating complaints, and conducting compliance inspections. Taylor is a past recipient of DAQ’s Employee of the Year Award and DEQ’s Distinguished Employee Award. She is a North Carolina Certified Public Manager (CPM) and a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Biosystems Engineering.
