Deputy Director of Stationary Sources
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, CO
I am an Environmental Engineer with two decades of experience in Air Quality. In this field I am a dispersion modeling expert and a skilled Project Manager. My expertise is rooted in research, regulations, and consulting, which give a unique insight into the interaction of the theoretical and practical aspects of air quality. My research has been published in peer reviewed journals such as the Journal of Air and Waste Management Association, the EM Magazine, and other conference proceedings. I also deliver presentations about air quality topics at local and national forums of technical and non-technical audiences. I am a past Chair of the Atmospheric Modeling and Meteorology Committee (APM) of the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA) – one of the most influential technical committees in dispersion modeling.
As a Deputy Director for Stationary Sources I lead the Indoor Environment Program (IEP), Oil and Gas Program (O&G) and the Stationary Source Permitting Program (Permitting) for the state of Colorado. These programs perform permitting, including Title V, construction, PSD and minor source permitting, as well as inspections and compliance assistance for oil and gas sources as well as permitting and compliance oversight of Indoor Environment sources in Colorado.
