Regina Hanson has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.
She joined Varec Biogas in October, 1997 and has over 25 years of experience in biogas and anaerobic digestion processes. When Ovivo acquired Varec Biogas in 2019, Regina became part of the Biosolids Management Group.
She now manages both the sales and marketing efforts for biogas and biosolids product offering, including anaerobic and aerobic digestion, nutrient removal and recovery, and biogas.
Regina has extensive knowledge of North American codes and design standards related to anaerobic digestion and biogas. She is also familiar with EPA and state regulatory requirements relative to emissions from flares. She is technical committee member for NFPA 820, Fire Protection Standard for Wastewater Treatment and Collection Facilities and is reviewer for MOP 8 (Design of Water Resource Recovery Facilities).
