Mark Kiffe is an Air Quality Engineer at the Bay Area Air District under the Organics recovery section and holds both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Civil and Environmental engineering.
Mark is most fulfilled by channeling his passion for innovation, engineering and research into contributions to public health, clean air, sanitation and waste management within the circular economy. In collaboration with experts from SuSanA and SEI, he has co authored a compendium for alternative resource recovery technologies and products, a paper on microbial risk assessment and developed a simulation model for valorization of waste streams and sanitation planning. His interests also expand to the spheres of civil engineering, data science, public policy and remote sensing.
