Joel Trinkle is a Vice President and Senior Air Quality Consultant with Barr Engineering Co. Joel has three decades of experience assisting clients with environmental management projects, especially those that emphasize air-quality regulatory permitting and compliance. His work experience includes federal and state air-quality permitting, regulatory applicability analyses, compliance audits, risk management planning, dispersion modeling, expert witness in litigation, and regulatory compliance negotiations for clients engaged in power generation, petroleum refining, and the manufacturing of specialty chemicals, biofuels, and forest products.
Joel also leads the practice groups at Barr that provide environmental management services at Barr, which includes professionals who assist clients with air quality permitting and compliance, stack testing and ambient air monitoring, chemical and waste compliance, environmental management systems and advanced digital solutions, and compliance auditing.
Joel is a Qualified Environmental Professional with the Board for Global EHS Credentialing. He graduated with honors from Iowa State University, earning his BS degree in Chemical Engineering.
