Chemical Insights Research Institute
Taryn Waddey is a Research Scientist within Chemical Insights Research Institute’s Center for
Advanced Measurements. Her research includes analyzing chemical emissions from consumer
products and emerging technologies such as electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) and 3D
printers. She assists the Laboratory Manager in ongoing sample preparation, research efforts, and
upkeep of the Analytical Laboratory. Taryn graduated from Bethune-Cookman University with a BS in Integrated Environmental Science.
There, she focused her studies on water quality, particularly in stormwater runoff, eutrophication, and
environmental and human impacts of the famous Halifax River in Daytona Beach. Taryn is extremely
excited to continue her efforts at Chemical Insights Research Institute in ensuring a healthy
environment for generations to come!
