Originally from Ukraine, Dr. Nazarenko received a Fulbright-Scholarship-supported Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA. He then moved to Canada to join McGill University in 2013 and back to the US to join the University of Cincinnati in 2023. Dr. Nazarenko authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in air quality and air pollution, environmental health, nanotechnology safety, and sustainable materials. Yevgen has served as sectional chair, vice-chair, and director of the Mid-Atlantic Section of the A&WMA, served on the student fellowship review committee, and in numerous other volunteer leadership roles within the A&WMA. Yevgen's leadership as chair, his A&WMA section won the 2017 Minasian award for outstanding performance and service to members. He is currently a director on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Section of the A&WMA.
