Joseph Klobucar, founder of Rotoheater llc, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan (since 1995) with 34 years of experience in air pollution control technology. He holds over 20 US and international patents and has authored 16 publications in the field. His expertise spans:
• Air pollution control systems
• Thermal and regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTO)
• Selective catalytic reduction (SCR)
• Flue gas desulfurization
• Heat transfer and thermal regeneration
• Air emission testing
In 2022, Joseph founded Rotoheater, a company dedicated to fighting air pollution through the development of advanced technologies. Rotoheater’s flagship innovation, Moxidizer, is a novel modular oxidizer designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of air pollution control. The company focuses on providing cutting-edge solutions for industries looking to reduce emissions and meet environmental standards. Joseph also founded Klobucar Engineering LLC, which provides unbiased engineering and analysis in the air pollution control sector. However, his primary focus is now on Rotoheater, where he leads the development of new technologies to address air quality challenges.
Prior to these ventures, Joseph spent 10 years (2008–2019) as Senior Project Engineer at HDR Engineering, where he managed large-scale air pollution control projects for power plants, including SCR, flue gas desulfurization, fabric filters, and other technologies. He has extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in planning, procurement, performance testing, and warranty oversight.
Earlier in his career, Joseph held leadership roles at Durr Industries and Durr Environmental, including R&D Manager and Director of Engineering. There, he managed innovation processes, led engineering teams, and oversaw the development of air pollution control equipment for industries such as automotive, semiconductor, and chemicals.
