Professor
University of Calgary, AB, Canada
Dr. Ke Du, Ph.D., P.Eng. is a Professor of Environmental Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Calgary. Since 2005, his research has focused on the development and application of advanced sensing systems for monitoring air pollutant emissions.
Dr. Du's expertise includes chemiresistive sensors, optical remote sensing, and satellite remote sensing. In addition to pioneering new emission monitoring techniques, he has developed machine learning-based sensor calibration technologies and emission prediction models. His work also includes the development of a tiered approach for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions from smaller-scale sources, such as wastewater treatment plants and landfills.
