Dr. Ernesto Pino currently works at Escuela de Ingeniería Química at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. Dr. Pino does research in Environmental Engineering, modeling and simulation of air quality. His research is supported using the Weather Research Forecast (WRF) for the meteorological simulation, the SMOKE model for the emission inventory and the Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System (CMAQ) model for the photochemical modeling. He also has an interest in the study of new technologies to diminish the impact on the environment. Currently, he is working on the dispersion of the marine Halogenated species and DMS emissions with CMAQ in Southern Hemisphere.
