Thomas L. Maher, Jr. is a Vice President and previous the Corporate Environmental Engineering and Sciences Practice Lead for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), and Director of CEC’s Technical Advisory Group (TAG). The TAG was founded to keep CEC on the leading edge of the latest environmental issues and includes the Emerging Contaminants subgroup that focuses on issues related to Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other constituents of emerging concern. Mr. Maher has given numerous presentations on PFAS and has been a co-author of four papers on PFAS published in the Remediation Journal as part of his involvement in the PFAS Environmental Professionals group. Mr. Maher received his B.S. in Geology from the University of Pittsburgh and is a P.G. in Pennsylvania and Arkansas.
