Picarro’s emissions360™ (e360) platform addresses this need by offering an advanced methane management solution that aligns with global initiatives like OGMP 2.0 and Project Veritas. To quantify emissions from gas distribution systems, e360 leverages advanced leak detection to produce comprehensive and accurate measurement-informed emissions inventories.
emissions360 utilizes a binning methodology to eliminate sampling bias, and talkes into account factors such as intermittent emissions, repair times, and associated uncertainties. This approach yields a more accurate, system-wide emissions profile compared to traditional methods that often rely on single-leak data or generic emission factors. By providing operators with deeper insights into their emissions, e360 helps ensure compliance with methane reduction initiatives and the future of regulatory reporting.
e360 also offers gas operators a robust framework for emissions forecasting, abatement, and operational planning to ensure the success of the program. Over the past 2 years, several gas distribution operators have leveraged the e360 methodology to submit measurement-based emissions inventories to both the GTI-Veritas protocol and to UNEP OGMP2.0. in particular several European gas operators have reached OGMP2.0 level 4 and 5 reporting level and secured the OGMP2.0 gold standard. By aligning with leading global frameworks and providing actionable insights, e360 enables a shift from reactive compliance to proactive environmental stewardship.
