The West Coast Section (WCS) was chartered in 1957, and many WCS members have served as Presidents of the Association, including Charter Member, S. Smith Griswold and 2020 Charles W. Gruber Association Leadership Award winner, Sara Head. WCS Chapters include Channel Islands, Mojave Desert, Orange County, and San Diego. Our Student Chapter at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo has won the Environmental Challenge International (ECi) for several years in a row. WCS has adopted international Chapters in India, Singapore, Thailand, a Student Chapter in Ghana, and a proposed Student Chapter in the United Arab Emirates.
